The White Swan

We spent 2 weeks at the White Swan Hotel because Annalise is from Guangdong Provinces. This is quite a swank 28 floor 5 star hotel that overlooks the Pearl River with all the amenities you could dream of. Annalise loved her stay here and would look forward to pushing the button and riding the elevator. We ate the buffet breakfast every morning which had your choice of either American or Chinese cuisine. As you left the hotel there was a doorman to let you out and greet you when you arrived. Every night they would come and turn your beds down and put chocolates in a little cup. This cup became Annalises’s favorite toy that we had in the room. They would also bring you about 10 ice cubes and this was our chance to make a cocktail. We savored every cube. There is a mini-bar in the room that became or kitchen. Annalise would point to the mini-bar every time she was hungry and she knew that good things came from there. We enjoyed our time in the adoption bubble of the White Swan connecting with all the other adoptive families. Every American family must pass through Guangzhou because the American Consulate is located there. As for our trip to the Consulate you are not allowed to take pictures which was a good thing because we were in the back row of over 30 families changing a poopy diaper and finished just in time to stand up and raise our right hand and take the oath.

You guys make one happy family!

And wow, I think these are some of the best pics I've seen showing the WS- more perspectives. Hope I get to stay there, not likely I guess now.

Oh, Paulette. The pics of you and Annalise are beautiful. You look very happy together. I was mad at myself for not taking pics of you and Annalise at church last weekend. I missed a good blogging opportunity! Next time.
Call me when you get over your jet lag and feel ready for visitors.

Those are beautiful pictures in front of the waterfall. I wish we could have stayed at the White Swan. We did stop in to have a red couch picture of Maddy. It was beautiful!

Hope everyone is adjusting to being home. It took us about 2-3 weeks
