Gotcha Day

Annalise is doing better but it was not an easy day for either of us I am exhausted and she is finally asleep. She is very attached to her nanny and has never been out of the SWC. It was hard for her to let go and come to me. The grieving process has already begun so I can only hope she will come around soon. Back at the hotel she was beginning to feel a bit better and began to play with a few toys. Thank goodness for the toy baby bottle it is her favorite. I will fill you in more when I’ve has some rest but enjoy the picture she is just beautiful and quite a smart little girl.

Just like any two people who meet for the first time...there's always that initial period of getting to know you. Annalise is lucky though because her Mama wears her heart on her sleeve, pure honesty and authenticity and she will learn to trust in that as well as your faith and love for her very soon. Rest when she rests and don't forget to move your belly button (BREATHE)! Also, Thanks for this wonderful blog and letting us all be a part of this journey with you. I dreamt of beautiful Chinese babies all night long!
I love you both!

She's soooo lovely! I had to choke back tears so I could focus on the photos without blurry vision.

I think the Shenzhen SWI loves their babies very much. My Gwenny was absolutely distraught for the first few hours but quickly came to appreciate all the 1 on 1 attention she was getting. I bet Annalise will too.

It's better for her to have this reaction than to have none at all. In a short time, she'll be totally devoted to you and just as uncomfortable around other people she doesn't know. This is how babies are supposed to act. Annalise is absolutely normal -- perfect actually!

Thanks for sharing your journey with me!

Congrats!! Words cannot describe the love I am feeling for you all right now. I had the pleasure of seeing my beautiful neice over the webcam early this morning. Although she looked exhausted she was resting very comfortably in mommy's arms. The hardest part for her is over and before you know it the two of you will be in sync with one another. This has been such an AMAZING journey for all of us. I am so blessed to have you as my sister and can't wait to shower Annalise Jingchu will my love and affection. Will thank you for being a solid rock for my sister.Keep us posted, I know you will.

YES, I TOO BURST INTO TEARS THIS MORNING, BUT, THEY WERE QUICKLY REPLACED BY LAUGHTER!

I HAD MY CREW OF GIRLS (X3) AT 9:02AM SIT DOWN, READ AND VIEW YOUR BLOG!

YOUR PRECIOUS ANNALISE, LOOKING SHY AND SWEET. YOUR A MOMMY NOW PAULETTE! YEA, HURRAY, THROW UP YOUR ARMS AND LAUGH, ITS THAT KIND-OF-DAY!

I NOTICED THE LOVELY DRESS AND PINK SHOES ANNALISE WAS WEARING I IMAGINE YOU WERE SURPRISED! WHAT A LOVELY KEEPSAKE.

I LOVED YOUR CHOICE OF (FIRST) PRESENTATION PICTURE... IT WAS LIKE SHE WAS WALKING THROUGH A THREASHOLD OF CHANGE. LEAVING HER OLD LIFE INTO HER NEW ONE. IN THAT PICTURE(ONLY)ANNALISE LOOKED SO ALL ALONE, IT WAS SAD IN A WAY. BUT, I KNEW SHE WAS SEEKING OUT HER NEW LIFE, HER MOMMY....

THAT WAS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE! WAY TO GO (WILL?) PAULETTE!

I AM THE ONLY ONE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE THAT IS HAVING TROUBLE INSTALLING SKYPE AND FINDING SOMEONE TO SPEAK & SEE!!! GOOD GRIEF, THIS IS RIDICULES. I AM SO ANXIOUS TO SEE YOU BOTH ON TV!!!! ITS SORT-TA LIKE TV!

I AM TRYING TO FIND YOU!

LOVE JAX
